Rules
Empire Nox is built around freedom, respect, privacy and consent. These rules protect the atmosphere and everyone inside it. By entering Empire Nox or buying a ticket, you agree to follow them.
House rules
The rules of the night
Come to enjoy yourself. Respect everyone around you. If you cannot follow the rules, you cannot stay.
01 · Age
18 to 40 only
- Empire Nox is for guests aged 18 to 40.
- A valid physical identification document may be required at the entrance.
- Guests who cannot prove their age may be refused entry.
- This is an Empire Nox and club admission rule.
02 · Who may attend
Couples and single women only
- Empire Nox welcomes couples consisting of one man and one woman, and single women.
- Single men are not admitted.
- A couple enters together and leaves together. There is no separate entry for one half of a couple.
- If one partner goes home, the other goes home as well. Both the man and the woman leave together as a couple.
- Tickets may only be used by guests who meet the admission conditions.
03 · Dress code before 22:00
Arrive stylish
- Before 22:00, guests must be smart, stylish and daring.
- The allowed colours are black, white, red, gold and silver.
- Sportswear, casual streetwear and clothing that does not fit the Empire Nox dress code may be refused.
04 · Dress code from 22:00
At 22:00, the night changes
- At 21:50, guests should prepare to change.
- From 22:00, women wear lingerie in black, white, red, gold or silver.
- Men wear the new black boxer provided by Empire Nox.
- Guests who refuse to follow the dress code may be asked to leave.
05 · Consent
Yes means yes. No means no.
- Consent is required at all times.
- Never touch another guest without clear permission.
- A person can change their mind at any moment.
- Silence is not consent.
- Being inside Empire Nox is never consent by itself.
- If someone says no, stop immediately.
- Pressure, intimidation, unwanted touching or harassment will not be accepted.
- Staff may remove anyone who ignores another guest's boundaries.
06 · Respect
Respect every guest
- Treat everyone with respect.
- No harassment.
- No threatening behaviour.
- No fighting.
- No discrimination.
- No aggressive behaviour.
- Do not follow or repeatedly approach someone who has made it clear they are not interested.
- Staff decisions made for safety must be followed.
07 · Phones and cameras
No phones inside
- Guests may take a maximum of two photos together at the official Empire Nox photo area before entering.
- After that, phones must be placed in the designated secure storage.
- Phones are not allowed inside the main event area.
- Cameras, recording devices and other devices capable of taking photos or videos are also not allowed.
- Smartwatches or similar devices with recording, camera or communication functions may also be refused.
- Secret filming or photography is strictly forbidden.
- Anyone who secretly records another guest may be removed immediately and may be reported where appropriate.
- Privacy is part of the Empire Nox experience.
08 · Drugs
No drugs
- Recreational drugs are not permitted at Empire Nox.
- Bringing, using, selling or sharing drugs is not allowed.
- Guests who appear heavily under the influence or whose behaviour creates a safety risk may be refused entry or removed.
- Staff may contact security or the police where necessary.
09 · Alcohol
Drink responsibly
- Alcohol may only be served according to Dutch law and club rules.
- Under Dutch law alcohol may not be sold to people under 18. Empire Nox applies an admission age of 18 to 40.
- Staff may refuse alcohol service to a guest.
- Guests who are too intoxicated or who behave dangerously may be removed from the event.
10 · Outside food and drinks
No outside food or drinks
- Guests may not bring their own food or drinks into the club unless Empire Nox or the club has given prior permission for a medical or other legitimate reason.
- Food and drinks available inside are subject to club conditions.
11 · Weapons and dangerous items
No weapons
- Weapons and dangerous objects are strictly forbidden.
- Security checks may take place at the entrance.
- Anyone carrying a prohibited or dangerous object may be refused entry and the authorities may be contacted where required.
12 · Security checks
Entry checks
- Empire Nox and club security may carry out reasonable entry and safety checks.
- These checks can include checking tickets, identification, bags and prohibited devices or items.
- Refusing a required safety check may result in refused entry.
- Any checks must be performed in accordance with applicable Dutch law and club procedures.
13 · Personal belongings
Look after your things
- Guests are responsible for their own belongings unless mandatory Dutch law states otherwise.
- Use available lockers or secure storage where provided.
- Report lost items to staff as soon as possible.
14 · At the club
Lockers, showers, payments and smoking
- A locker costs €10, of which €5 is a deposit you get back when you return the key.
- Free condoms and ice lollies are available during the night.
- Free showers with towels are available for all guests.
- Every phone goes into a sealed anti filming pouch, and the phone still goes into the locker afterwards. We do not want to see phones anywhere inside.
- All payments inside run through a special club card that you top up yourself, so bring your bank card. Phones are not allowed, and the club card makes ordering drinks quick and easy.
- At the end of the night you can take your remaining balance off the club card again.
- You can hang your coat in the cloakroom for €2.
- Smoking is only allowed in the marked smoking areas.
15 · Intimacy and private spaces
Enjoy the night with respect
- Throughout the club there may be spaces to relax, connect and enjoy the atmosphere together, including lounges, seating areas, play spaces and private rooms.
- Always respect the rules of the specific area and the comfort and consent of other guests.
- Nothing is ever required.
16 · Health and safety
Take care of yourself
- Guests are responsible for making sensible choices about their own health and wellbeing.
- If you feel unwell, unsafe or uncomfortable, contact a member of staff immediately.
- Follow emergency instructions from staff, security and the club.
- Emergency exits must always remain clear.
17 · Staff decisions
Staff have the final say on safety
- Empire Nox and club staff may refuse entry or remove a guest when reasonably necessary to protect safety, comply with the law, enforce these house rules or protect other guests.
- Removal for breaking the rules does not automatically give a right to a refund.
- Legal consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded always remain in place.

02 · Ticket purchase
Your ticket
- A ticket gives the named guest or guests access to the event stated on the ticket, subject to these terms, the house rules and club rules.
- Payment must be completed before a ticket becomes valid.
- Tickets must not be copied, duplicated or fraudulently changed.
- A QR code or other ticket identifier may only be used once unless stated otherwise.
03 · No resale
Tickets may never be resold
- Tickets are strictly personal and may never be sold, resold, auctioned, traded or passed on for money or any other payment.
- Tickets may not be offered on resale platforms, marketplaces, social media or in any other public way.
- Our gift function is meant as a gift only. Giving a ticket away must always be free of charge.
- Transferring a ticket to another guest is only allowed through our own transfer link and only without payment.
- Empire Nox may cancel any ticket without refund and refuse entry when we believe a ticket has been resold or offered for sale.
04 · Eligibility
A ticket is not a guarantee of entry
- Buying a ticket does not override the entry rules.
- Guests must still meet the age, guest type and dress code requirements.
- Empire Nox may refuse entry when a guest does not meet those requirements.
05 · Event changes
Changes to the event
- Event details such as opening times, programme, entertainment, room use or other non essential parts of the experience may change where reasonably necessary.
- Material changes will be communicated where required.
06 · Cancellation or postponement
If the night cannot happen
- If an event is cancelled, guests will receive the refund or other remedy required by applicable Dutch consumer law.
- If an event is postponed or materially changed, applicable legal rights remain protected.
07 · Refunds and transfers
Refunds
- Refund and transfer conditions are shown clearly before purchase.
- Where Dutch consumer law gives a guest mandatory rights, those rights take priority over these terms.
08 · VIP
The VIP upgrade
- VIP is an optional upgrade on top of a regular eligible ticket.
- VIP benefits are those listed on the website at the time of purchase.
- VIP benefits may depend on reasonable club availability.
- If a specific paid VIP benefit cannot be provided, Empire Nox will deal with this in accordance with applicable consumer law.
09 · Behaviour
How guests must behave
- Guests must follow the house rules.
- Serious misconduct, harassment, violence, secret recording, illegal drug activity or deliberate violation of safety rules can result in removal.
10 · Liability
Responsibility
- Empire Nox is not responsible for loss or damage that is outside its reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited under Dutch law.
- Guests remain responsible for their own actions and choices during the event.
- Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory rights a consumer has under Dutch law.
11 · Force majeure
Situations outside our control
- If an event cannot reasonably take place because of circumstances outside the control of Empire Nox, Empire Nox may cancel, postpone or change the event where legally permitted.
- Applicable consumer rights remain protected.
12 · Dutch law
The law that applies
- These terms are governed by Dutch law.
- Mandatory consumer protection rules remain applicable.
- Any dispute will be handled by the competent court according to applicable Dutch law.

Privacy matters at Empire Nox. We only use personal information when we have a valid reason to do so, and we try to collect only what we actually need.

03 · Sensitive privacy
Extra care with private information
- Because Empire Nox is an adults only event, some information could indirectly reveal highly private information about a guest.
- Data relating to a person's sex life can fall within special categories of personal data under the GDPR. Extra care and a valid legal exception are required when such data is processed.
- We do not ask guests unnecessary questions about their sex life, sexual behaviour or sexual preferences.
- We do not use event attendance to build advertising profiles about a person's sex life.
- We do not sell guest data.
- We do not share guest lists publicly.
- We do not use guest attendance in public marketing without a separate lawful basis and appropriate permission.

- It may be legitimate interests, where those interests do not override guest rights.
- It may be consent, where consent is required.
- Different types of processing can rely on different legal bases.
06 · Payment data
How payments are handled
- Payments may be handled by an external payment provider.
- Empire Nox does not store full payment card details.
- The name and privacy information of the payment provider will be added here once the final provider is confirmed.
07 · Sharing information

08 · How long we keep data
Retention
- We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as required by law.
- Different types of information may have different retention periods.
09 · Photos and video
Images of guests
- Empire Nox has a strong no camera policy inside the event.
- If Empire Nox ever creates professional photography or video where guests can be recognised, this is handled separately and in accordance with privacy law.
- Recognisable images of people are personal data under the GDPR.
- Buying a ticket does not give permission to use someone's image for advertising.
10 · Marketing
Emails you choose to receive
- Promotional emails are only sent where legally permitted.
- Guests can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
- Service messages about a purchased event are kept separate from optional marketing where appropriate.
11 · Cookies
Cookies and tracking
- If the website uses cookies or tracking technologies, these are explained in a separate cookie banner and cookie policy where legally required.
12 · Your privacy rights
